今日は、朝からとっても寒かったですね。

先週末の土曜日は、東京でも初雪が観測されました(@-@)

今朝のCircle　Timeでは、「もっと雪が降ってほしかった～」「次に雪が降ったら、SnowmanやRabbitを作りたい」「どんな味がするのか食べてみたい笑」などなど、雪が降ったら何をするかでお話が盛り上がりましたよ☆

寒い毎日ですが、私達も、みんなと一緒に元気に身体を動かして、中から体温を上げていきたいと思います！

さて、今日はそれぞれのグループ（食べ物、動物、洋服など・・）に分けたPicture　cardsの中から、ひとつだけ仲間外れの単語を探して、「Why do you think so?」「Because　I think・・・」とみんなに自分の考えを伝えるお勉強をしました。

Big　Kidsは、深い部分までしっかり考えていて、いろんな見方があることを教えてくれました（すごい！）

Small　Kidsも恥ずかしがらずに、色や形など、自分が感じる「違い」をニコニコ(^-^)で教えてくれましたよ♬

また、3月にある発表会/卒園式に向けての練習も、少しづつスタートしております。

Hello all!!! Brr... it's freezing outside, but no problem for the Angel kids! Energetic as ever, learning, laughing, singing, & playing nonstop! I can't help but feel warm inside and out watching them enjoy their day. It's really not an exageration to say the childrens' energy saves me from the cold & dreary winter days.

Enough about winter coldness! Today, we learned many new vocabulary and topics, starting with speed, animals, comparitives, & superlatives. The kids had to order the things from slowEST to fastEST. Or in other words, who's slowER & fastER. (These are superlative & comparitives) Later we played a game with slow, fast, stop while pretending to be various animals like snails, bunnies, penguins!

After lots of singing, dancing, and word games we learned about Thailand to end the day. Learning about other countries, cultures, and languages enables us to reflect on our own country as well as compare and contrast English speaking countries. We learned words such as coconut, elephant-riding, Buddhism, religion, flag, and map. It's always a joy to see the children so interested in other countries. To finish off the lesson, they made elephants with colorful mats on top to show how they are ridden in Thailand. They all turned out beautiful & unique, just like each indivdual child.

"Seasons and Weather"

They were asked to close their eyes and imagine what activities they do during the mentioned weather and try to act it out and describe it using their 5 senses. The kids had fun not just remembering their activities during the said weather/ season, but it also practiced their improvisation skills. 

I asked them to play "Memory Game" and some even asked to play more than the alloted time. It was one of their favorites.

During phonics, they learned about Medial Letter Aa; their proper pronunciation and answered the seatwork altogether. The seatwork was an exercise on how to comprehend a sentence with the question being asked. 

東京も、今週とうとう梅雨入りしました(@-@)

私達大人は、「梅雨」というとマイナスなイメージが浮かびますが、子ども達の目線は全く違います！

「雨がたくさんふると、かわいいあじさいさんが見られるから好き～！ぼんぼりみたいでカワイイよね♪」

「お気に入りの長靴を履いて、水たまりにジャンプできるから好き～♪」

「かえるさんが喜んでるよぉ(^-^)」

などなど、素直なかわいい意見がいっぱい出ました。

また、違った答えでは「雨のあとに、虹が見られるから好き～♪」という子もいたりと、みんなのニコニコな笑顔をみて、

とっても、ほんわか・ほっこりしました(笑）

新学期から数えると、早いもので、1学期終了まであと1ケ月を切りました。

毎日、みんなで元気いっぱい遊んだり、助け合ったり、涙したり、ハグしたり・・・（笑）

子ども達は、みんな、日々成長しています。　5月に新しく入ったお友達も、もうすっかり、みんなと兄弟・姉妹のような

関係になりました(^-^)/　

少しづつ成長していく様子を、これからも見逃さず、お伝えしていきたいと思います☆

新学期が始まり、４日目を迎えました！みんな、身体がだんだんと毎日のリズムに慣れてきたようです。

新しいお友達も、気づけば自分から先生やお友達に声をかけたり、自然と輪のなかに入って笑顔いっぱいで参加していますよ♪

さて、今日は、みんなが得意な「Color/色」のお勉強です！発表会でColor　Songを披露してから、いろんな場面で先生達に色を教えてくれるようになりました(^-^)/

みんで一緒だと楽しいね(^-^)♪

最近、ウィルス系の風邪が流行っていますね。　Angelでは、登園したらすぐに手洗い・うがいを行い、こまめに換気をしています。　また、Lunch前はこども用の除菌ジェルも使い、清潔を心がけています(^-^)

お家と園で連携を取りながら、お子様が風邪やウィルスに感染しないよう、充分に注意していきたいと思います(^-^)

さて、今日はフォニックスと動物の名前をお勉強しました☆

小さいお友達でも、簡単な動物　「Cat」「Dog」「Bird」「Rabbit」「Tiger」などは大きな声で答えていましたよ！

合わせて、色や数字にも関心をもっているお友達も多く、Play　Timeでは、自分で色と数字のパズルを持ってきて、先生と一緒に楽しんだりする姿も見受けられます(^-^)

そろそろ、3月に行われる発表会の練習も入ってきますので、元気いっぱい取り組んでいきたいと思います☆
